2017 Reading Challenge Update

It's been a busy few months since my last post and I've managed to get some reading done thanks to my new Kindle. It's helped a lot because I haven't been able to read the small print in regular books as well.

Books I Read Over the Summer | Summer Reading:
             - Stillhouse Lake by Rachel Caine ★★★★★
             - ARC of CurseBreaker by Taylor Fenner ★★★★★
             - The Mermaid Collector by Erika Marks ★★★★1/2

Currently Reading:
             - Hush by Karen Robards
I like it so far and I'm nearly finished, but it reminds me a lot of Stillhouse Lake. Not the same plot of course, but the writing style is very similar. It seems like some of the newer mystery and thriller writers are trying to emulate the style of other more established writers. Since Hush was written before Stillhouse Lake it appears that Rachel Caine might be copying the styles of authors like Karen Robards, Lisa Jackson, and Sandra Brown.

Books On Hold:
                - Come Sundown by Nora Roberts
I started reading this book a few months ago, when it first came out but I put it down to read other books and haven't come back to it. I'm hoping to get back to it this fall.

Books I Want To Read This Fall:
           - Come Sundown by Nora Roberts
           - You Will Pay by Lisa Jackson
           - Wicked Ways by Lisa Jackson and Nancy Book
           - Wicked by Joanne Fluke
           - Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
